    Borough of Juneau

    A T&H Community Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indians of Alaska


    Purpose

    "The purpose of the Council shall be to promote and protect the health, education, economic and general welfare of the members and of their children; to administer charity and such other services as may contribute to the social, traditional, cultural and economic development for the members and to govern, conduct and manage the affairs and property of the Council." Article II - THICBJ Constitution

    Meetings

    • Regular Council meetings - second Thursday of the Month, 5:30 pm/7:00 pm, September through May.
    • Annual Meeting is held in the month of March.
    • Special Meetings - at the call of the President or Executive Officers
    • Committee Meetings are at the call of the Committee Chair

    Elections

    • Delegates to Central Council - held on the third Thursday in March during even numbered years.
    • Council Members - held in conjunction with the Delegate elections.

    Activities

    • Bingo: Mondays and Fridays - Doors open at 5:00 pm / Games start at 7:00 pm
    • Cultural Activity - January through April - Saturday from 12:30pm / 4:00 pm (subject to change)
    • Family Swim: Friday Night 8:45 pm to 9:45 pm - first 100 people - Linda Carroll, Coordinator.
