Forestry Program

The Forestry Program is funded by the BIA compact and provides Native Allotment owners with services and consultation in forestland management. Services include forest management, surveying, timber harvesting, tree thinning, mapping, trespass investigations, timber appraisals, fire protection, and forest health protection measures & promotion. The Forestry Program strives to promote responsible, beneficial, and sustainable management of allotment lands and resources, through education and communication.

To be eligible for services, you must own a Native allotment in any of the following communities: Angoon, Craig, Haines, Juneau, Kasaan, Ketchikan, Klawock, Petersburg, Saxman, Skagway, Tenakee, and Wrangell.
