A NEW LOOK FOR TRIBAL IDENTIFICATION CARDS!

The Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska, Tribal Enrollment Department is announcing their new membership identification card.

The current card is tan with embossed enrollment information that includes: Full Name, Enrollment Number, Date of Birth, Social Security Number and Blood Quantum. The new card will consist of Full Name, Blood Quantum, Date of Birth and Tribal Enrollment Number. It will also have the tribal member's photo on it (when photo is available).

The advantage of the new card system is that it will be located on-site. We currently have to mail the card request out, which usually takes four weeks for the tribal member to receive their card. With the new system, cards can be done on-site and mailed within a week.
The Enrollment office will be mailing each tribal member their current information for review; an affidavit will be included in this mailing that will need to be completed if a photo is being submitted for use on their new ID card.
