E. Paddock Major Medical Fund
Program Purpose
This program is a source of financial support and comfort to tribal
member suffering major or catastrophic illness.
Program
Description
The program is modified as necessary to meet current financial
and program conditions. It currently offers a maximum $200 donation
to tribal members submitting a brief application and medical certification.
Since its inception in 1989, the program averages donations of
$10,000 per year. The Human Services Department assumed management
of the program in July, 1996 and is responsible for receiving
applications and issuing checks.

A total of 39 awards were made to recipients from the following

Goals
The Human Services Department, in consultation with prior committee
members, intends to develop a fundraising plan.
Funding
Agency and Annual Budget
The program is funded by personal donations from delegates and
staff members, and occasional raffles. The average program budget
is $10,000 per year.
