Treasures & Traditions is owned and operated by Alberta J. Aspen.  The company was started with the idea of making and selling vests and traditional dance regalia and has expanded into teaching.  Classes are held in making Button Blankets, Vests and Tunics.   The company also sells fabric and buttons for dance regalia and Button Blanket Kits. Blanket Kits include precut blanket and borders, buttons, sewing notions and an instruction book which includes historical information and a step by step instructions.  The instruction book is available only by purchasing a kit.

The classes are designed to teach the novice (men or women) using a step by step approach with helpful hints and the use of modern techniques to simplify the process.  The students receive all the materials necessary and sewing machines, irons, scissors, etc. are furnished in the classroom.   At the end of the session, the student will be in the final stages and have all the information to complete the project.  The instructor is just a phone call away for assistance.  A ceremony, which includes a potluck lunch and fashion show, to honor the regalia and the student is held a week after the last class session.
