College Student Assistance (CSA) Scholarship
The CSA program is a year-round scholarship program that serves tribal citizens residing within the United States. Funding for CSA scholarships is based on a Compact agreement between Tlingit & Haida and Southeast Alaska IRA tribes.
CSA eligibility is based on the Compact status of the student’s community of origin.
Tribal citizens whose family originate from any one of our service areas: Haines, Hydaburg, Juneau, Kasaan, Pelican, Saxman, and Tenakee are eligible to apply.
Students whose families originate from communities outside of our Compact area (Angoon, Craig, Douglas, Hoonah, Kake, Ketchikan, Klawock, Klukwan, Metlakatla, Petersburg, Sitka, Skagway, Wrangell, or Yakutat) MUST apply for CSA funding through their local IRA tribe first. Applications from those who originate from these communities will be denied unless a denial letter for CSA funding is received with their application.
